A bid to open a Rangers Supporters Club in Irvine was approved by licensing chiefs this week.
An application for a Provisional Premises License, submitted by Irvine Rangers Supporters Club late last year, was granted unanimously by North Ayrshire Licensing Board on Monday, February 4.
The plan is to open a non-profit making club in a free-standing building at 135 Rear High Street, which was previously used as a workshop and store.
As well as supporting Rangers FC, licensing papers state the club would also raise funds for local charities and good causes.
Licensed hours are to be from 11am until midnight, or 1am on Friday and Saturday.
The premises would allow children aged 5-17 years if accompanied by an adult and attending a birthday, wedding or other private event.
