SNOWY weather failed to freeze Winton Primary’s health regime as pupils and parents enjoyed a walk after their breakfast.
The walk was part of the Ardrossan school’s commitment to the Daily Mile and followed the Breakfast Club, which takes place every Friday.
Mrs Ashley McCallum, P7 teacher at Winton Primary, said: “It’s mostly our parents and friends come along and it’s been quite successful.
“They come in and enjoy a cup of tea and toast and there’s activities for the children before school.
“Then the school take part in the Daily Mile as part of the initiative to encourage everyone to keep fit and healthy.”
The Daily Mile is a free initiative that sees children run or jog for 15 minutes every day in their schools.
