A man has been remanded in custody after facing allegations of robbing an Irvine shop with a blade.
Greg Thompson, 42, faced three charges when he appeared from custody at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Thursday.
He faced one charge of robbery, one of having an article with a blade or point in a public place and a third charge of carrying an offensive weapon.
Thompson made no plea when he faced the allegations and the case was continued for further examination.
Thompson was remanded in custody and will return to court within eight days.
