Model railway enthusiasts arrived in Irvine recently for an exciting exhibition.
Kilmarnock and District Model Railway Club’s 2019 exhibition took place on Saturday and Sunday (February 3 and 4) at the Maritime Museum.
The club exhibited five layouts this year, including Netherton, Bramlington Junction, Howardstoun, Bakers End, and Tam and Buddies.
There was also a vast range of visiting layouts, including a model depicting the suburbs of Glasgow, a detailed miniature of a fairground, and an exhibit of Lego trains which guests were invited to drive.
The exhibition also featured traders from Ayrshire and beyond. Douglas Blades from Ardrossan returned to the show with his variety of books and DVD of transport interest, while Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group were there with an information stand.
