Escape to the Chateau: DIY, C4, 5pm

DICK Strawbridge and Angel Adoree return to offer advice to more Brits buying chateaux in France, as well as helping new and established expat owners. Dick joins Elaine and David as they look around an 1850s chateau with 25 rooms, telling them what to look out for when buying such a vast property. The programme also catches up with Tim and Krys from the first series, who renovated rooms for a boutique B&B in the Dordogne.

Grenfell: Did the Fire Brigade Fail? – Dispatches, C4, 8pm

THE fall-out from the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017. Dispatches investigates the response of the London Fire Brigade to the blaze, which killed 72 people, and asks whether the decision to tell residents to stay put contributed to the high death toll. Through interviews with survivors and firefighters, and using evidence released by the public inquiry, this programme explores whether a lack of training meant firefighters were ill-equipped to cope.

Cold Feet, STV, 9pm

IT’S the last in the current series, but could it also be the end of the group as we know it? It’s looking that way as Pete realises that Karen and Adam are becoming more than just good friends. It’s a revelation that causes shockwaves, especially for Jenny, who thinks she has enough going on without learning that two of her best mates are having an illicit relationship. Adam and Karen find themselves shut out from the gang but will this ruin their budding romance?

Growing Up Gifted, BBC2, 9pm

PREVIOUSLY called Generation Gifted, this documentary follows six academically gifted teenagers from low-income families. The three boys are now in Year 10 and a step closer to their final GCSE exams. Aspiring doctor Liam gets a tantalising glimpse of Cambridge University, but at home in Newcastle, personal struggles threaten to jeopardise his progress. Meanwhile Londoner Jamarley faces pressure on the streets which could affect his studies.
