The National:

TODAY of all days you might think that Scottish Labour would have something better to do.

Instead of focusing on the major split in their party, the Labour Branch Office has released another embarrassing video which attempts to criticise the First Minister.

In it, they show a short clip from Nicola Sturgeon's recent speech in New York before going on to list some things that "happened in Scotland" during her trip.

As if it isn't part of the remit of political leaders to occasionally visit foreign countries to build ties and talk up the interests of their nation.

It's not as if Labour's former First Minister Jack McConnell spent seven days a week locked up in his office, focusing solely on domestic affairs and nothing else...

Last week we had hypocritical Tories criticising the FM for using taxpayers' money to fund her trip before they were put straight by a number of Twitter users.

Now we have Scottish Labour wasting time making a video which points out that things still happen in countries when their leaders leave for a few days.

Watch the clip below:

Come on Scottish Labour, you're better than the Tories. Aren't you?
