Irvine Newtown Men’s Shed will be meeting twice a week in Bourtreehill.
Sheds, which have recently also been set up in the Three Towns, Kilbinie and Harbourside, are for men with time on their hands where members can use tools and equipment for their own projects while enjoying the company of like-minded individuals.
A drop in session will be held in Bourtreehill’s Age Concern centre today (February 19) and every Tuesday from 7pm and on Sunday from 10pm to 2pm.
Residents from across Irvine are invited to come along for a chat.
Irvine East Labour Cllr John Easdale said: “It’s open to anyone across the area, not just Bourtreehill and Broomlands, anyone from Dreghorn, Springside, Perceton or other areas are welcome. It would be a place to meet, chat and do projects.”
