A new musical drama starring local youngsters will be performed in Kilwinning next week – and tickets are free.
“Happy Place” is by Poetic Justice Productions, in partnership with Well Happy and Pryde The PLAYZ and can be seen at Cranberry Moss Community Centre next Thursday and Friday evening.
This community based project aims to empower young people with techniques to maintain positive mental health and is funded by Awards for All.
In Happy Place, Melissa has an idyllic life with her mum. Every weekend is like a holiday, away in their motorhome. However, life wasn’t always like this.
After arguing with her mum, Melissa retreats into her imagination.
Here in her imaginary world, with her equally imaginary friends, she finds sanctuary in her ‘Happy Place’. But things don’t go to plan.
Her ‘Happy Place’ keeps getting infested with problems and monsters that just won’t leave her alone. How will she get her Happy Place back to being, well… happy?
With plenty of fun, feel good moments and catchy songs by The Well Happy Band, “Happy Place” will leave you smiling!
The show is at Cranberry Moss Community Centre on Thursday, February 28 and Friday, March 1 from 7-8pm.
