IRVINE Meadow has teamed up with Rangers FC to give young players a shot at the big time.

The Junior club giant has signed up to be a Rangers Soccer Schools Partner in a move that the club hopes will cement the footballing futures of some of its young players.

Alan McBride from Irvine Meadow Youth said: “Irvine Meadow Youth Football Club are delighted to announce that we are a Rangers Soccer Schools Partner.

“The agreement will see Rangers Soccer Schools coaches visit Irvine each month to deliver high quality training sessions to a number of teams within Irvine Meadow Youth Football Club. Irvine Meadow Youth players will also attend The Hummel Training Centre, Rangers’ state of the art training facility, for sessions throughout the year.

“Additional support and guidance will be provided to Irvine Meadow Youth coaches, helping to create a club philosophy and culture which will form solid foundations for years to come.

“As part of our growing ambition to promote grassroots football in Ayrshire, we’re excited to be a Rangers Soccer Schools Partner. We believe that Rangers Soccer Schools will help develop both Irvine Meadow Youth players and coaches, which is crucial to our long-term plan to provide a fun and professional environment that enables each player to develop to their full potential.”
