Councillor Jim Montgomerie, Cabinet Member for Place, said: “Gone are the days of having to look out your window to see what colour of bin your neighbours have put out, before following suit.

“Now, thanks to our bin collection i-calendar alerts, you can simply have a quick glance at your phone to see what bin is due collected or wait and get a reminder at 7pm the night before.

“And with everyone now leading such busy lives, it can help take one thing off your list of things to remember each week – making it easier for you to remember your bin collections, while also helping us out by ensuing people put the right bin out on the right day.

“With the new bin collection arrangements starting just last week, it’s an ideal time to do the download while you get used to your new collection arrangements.”

Residents are reminded to have their bins out for collection by 7am on their collection day.
