With GP closed on Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22, residents are being urged to prepare to cope with any common health concerns, with most practices closed for four days in total.
Good Friday – April 19. Most pharmacies will be open as normal, except: · Dreghorn Pharmacy, 20 Main Street, Dreghorn – closed
· J Reekie, 1 Cardow Crescent, Irvine – closed
· Townhead Pharmacy, Station Plaza, Pennyburn Road, Kilwinning – closed
· Care Pharmacy, 55 Main Street, Springside – closed
Saturday, April 20. Most pharmacies will be open as normal, except: · Boots, 9a Frew Terrace, Irvine - closed
Sunday, April 21. All pharmacies will be closed, except: · Boots, 1 Fullarton Square, Irvine – open 11am-5pm
Monday, April 22 All pharmacies will be closed, except: · Boots, 1 Fullarton Square, Irvine – open 10am-5pm
Roisin Kavanagh, Interim Director of Pharmacy, said: “If you take regular medication, you should check your existing supplies and only order what you need to ensure you have enough to see you through the holiday weekend.”
When GP practices are closed, you can still get advice from a community pharmacist or NHS 24.
