A pervert is behind bars after allegedly breaching an order which forbids him to go near children.

Graham Scobie appeared in private at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week facing three charges of breaching his bail and his Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO).

The 49-year-old avoided jail in February when he admitted to having almost 100 sick images of children being abused on his laptop – with six being in the most depraved category.

At the time Procurator Fiscal Depute Ms Urqhart told the court Scobie was a risk to children after he admitted to police to spending his days watching pornography and performing sex acts on himself.

The court was also told that Scobie, formerly of Dickson Drive, Irvine, spent his days walking through parks and putting himself in stations where children would be.

The court heard Scobie, who now lives in Saltcoats, had a “sexual preoccupation” and a “deviant sexual interest” in young boys.

Scobie, who used 10 different Facebook profiles to make contact with people, was given a CPO and supervision order and made subject to a SOPO.

But he was remanded in custody after being arrested for allegedly breaching that order and will appear back before the court next week.
