A TOP Scottish stand up will be returning to Irvine next month.

Funnyman Raymond Mearns will bring his latest stand up show Confessions of A Control Freak to the Harbour Arts Centre on Saturday, May 11.

Raymond describes himself as ‘an argumentative, raging, judgemental, grammar nazi’ – all essential character defects for a successful comedy career.

You may have seen him in sketches on BBC Scotland’s Limmy’s Show or heard him on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking the News.

Raymond Mearns has been one of Scotland’s hardest working live stand-up comedians for the past 15 years, performing all over the country’s top comedy clubs.

As an actor, Raymond has also appeared in the films Ae Fond Kiss and It’s a Free World – both directed by legendary British film director Ken Loach.

The show will be at the Harbour Arts Centre on Irvine’s Harbourside on Saturday, May 11 starting at 8pm/

Tickets cost £8 .
