TRAIN buffs of all ages are set to descend on South Ayrshire to take a trip back in time to the golden age of steam.
A steam train is heading from Edinburgh towards Glasgow and then going on to Troon and Ayr.
It is expected to arrive at Troon around noon and will then head straight for Prestwick.
The train is on a tour of Great Britain organised by the the Railway Touring Company.
A spokesman for Troon station said: "I expect it's going to be busy. .There's a lot of interest in this train."
The station kiosk are also selling rolls inspired by Harry Potter - Hungry Hagrid Special.
