A talented Kilwinning Academy pupil will perform with the BBC Proms Youth Ensemble at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Violinist Scott Bryant, who is currently a member of the North Ayrshire Schools’ Senior String Orchestra; North Ayrshire Schools’ Chamber Group; West of Scotland Symphony Orchestra and National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, was delighted to be chosen after an impressive audition.
He will now join the ensemble for several rehearsals in Cardiff before their big night at the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday, September 10, where they will perform alongside the National Orchestra of Wales.
Dedicated Scott, who studies each Saturday at the Junior Conservatoire, hopes to apply for full time education at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow once he finishes school.
The BBC Proms Youth Ensemble was founded in 2015, offering talented young musicians the chance to participate for free in innovative performances, while developing their skills alongside professional musicians.
