A free maritime heritage exhibition to mark the Waverley’s visit to Irvine will be back at the Harbourside this weekend.
In 2019 it will be 40 years since the word famous Waverley paddle steamer last visited Irvine harbour as part of the Marymass Festival, taking residents, enthusiasts and many others to Arran, aided by the ICI harbour tug Garnock, which is now part of the Museum’s vessel collection.
This one-day exhibition comes back to Irvine for the second time this Saturday, May 11 from 10am-4pm after it was set up to help share Scotland’s rich maritime history and achievements.
Free admission to see all the Museum objects on display.
