This weekend will see hundreds of eager Ayrshire Hospice supporters take to the streets of Ayr and Prestwick as part of the 11th Land O’ Burns Starlight Walk.
Starting from Ayr Racecourse this year’s Starlight Walk on Saturday, May 18, sponsored by Ayr Audi, will see all walkers – whether they are tackling the four, nine or 13 mile routes – head to the Prestwick for the first time ever to raise money for the Ayrshire Hospice.
It’s a big change for the Starlight Walk but it will still have its usual favourite stops on the night too. Those walkers on the nine or 13 mile route will be able to enjoy a warming bowl of soup at Ayr Town Hall thanks to The Cook School Scotland and music from Vice Versa.
On return back to Ayr Racecourse every walker receives a medal, a delicious bacon roll and a cup of tea or coffee.
