Personal Licence holders across North Ayrshire are being urged to renew their paperwork in the coming days or risk losing their right to sell alcohol.

The May 31 deadline for application renewals is fast approaching and hundreds of current licence holders have yet to apply.

In order to sell alcohol in pubs and other licensed premises, a premises manager is required to hold a personal licence.

North Ayrshire Licensing Board has issued more than 1,600 personal licences, which last for a 10-year period with most due to expire on August 31, 2019.

In order to retain the right to sell alcohol on premises, licence holders must apply for renewal by Friday, May 31.
