Police have arrested a man after a confrontation outside the Rivergate over alleged indecent online messages.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested after officers were called out at around noon today to a man being confronted by several people making allegations of inappropriate online correspondence.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At around 12pm today (Sunday, June 2) police were called following a report that members of the public had confronted a man outside a shopping centre in Irvine in connection with what they believed to be inappropriate online correspondance.
“A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and inquiries are continuing."
