A section of the A78 will be closed overnight on the Southbound road next week.
The road will be closed 8pm to 6am from the Pennyburn Roundabout to Eglinton interchange from Monday until Saturday morning.
Scotland TranServ will be resurfacing 1.3km of the road between the Rail Bridge and A737 flyover at Eglinton Interchange, with residents advised to allow extra time for their journeys with extra traffic expected in Kilwinning.
David Montgomery, Scotland TranServ’s Assistant Engineer said: “We have been working in consultation with local authorities, emergency services and key stakeholders to carefully schedule this short programme of works to limit the impact on local commuters and businesses. Overnight closures will be necessary to reduce this disruption.
"These works are part of a £3.2million investment programme being delivered on behalf of Transport Scotland.”
