A teenager has appeared in court charged with culpable homicide following the death of a 13-year-old girl in Irvine.
Calum Owens, 18, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and made no plea to the allegation.
The charge comes following the death of Grace Handling, 13, who was found dead at a house in Arran Place on June 29 last year.
Grace, pictured right, died on the last day of school, and police confirmed the cause of death was in toxication by MDMA.
Owens, from Irvine, was bailed for further examination and will return to court at a later date.
