Young carers in Ayrshire aged 11-18 are to benefit from a new nationwide Young Scot package of discounts and opportunities.
The offers have been designed by young carers themselves with extra discounts available at certain stores and leisure venues as well as other opportunities, such as free cinema tickets, free first aid training and CV advice.
The scheme was trialled in Dundee and Shetland last month and will now be rolled out across the country.
To benefit from the package carers will need a Young Scot National Entitlement Card which all young people in Scotland, aged 11-26, are entitled to.
