An aspirational Irvine school has received a glowing report in its most recent inspection.
Haysholm School was commended for its "very effective approaches" in developing children's communications skills.
The school's head teacher was praised for her "very effective leadership." She has established a culture of continuous improvement across the school and is a very good role model for all staff.
The children at the school were said to "engage very well in their learning and to develop their independence."
The report also said the school nurtured very positive relationships across the school community, creating a very welcoming and caring environment for learning. As result children and young people are happy and enjoy coming to school.
Teamwork was said to be a particular strength of the school.
The report added: "All staff know the children and young people and their families very well. They are aspirational and work very well together.
"This is leading to children and young people making very good progress in their learning.
There were areas of improvement outline in the report, however, with the head teacher asked to continue to develop the school’s approaches to assessment and moderation and to develop the school’s partnerships to support young people to successfully move into supported employment, training or further education when they leave school.
