The Ayrshire Hospice will host Scotland’s first-ever Ninja Warrior 5k assault course this summer at Ayrshire Athletics Centre in Kilmarnock on Saturday August 17.

Based on the popular television programme, Ninja Warrior, you’ll get your chance to take on 10 challenging obstacles on this popular assault course testing your strength, timing and determination just like the contestants on the ITV show.

Harness your speed, strength and agility on the likes of the quintuple steps, trapeze swing, the hot stepper and giant mushrooms before testing out your stamina with the infamous “Travellator” at the end of the 5k course!

Ayrshire Hospice Head of Fundraising, Tracey Corrigan, is sure this exciting new fundraiser will strike an enthusiastic chord with people in Ayrshire and beyond.

She said: “Ninja Warrior is a popular show and, as this is the first event of its kind in Scotland, we hope this fundraiser will be popular amongst the Ayrshire public, young and old.

“We’re delighted to be introducing Ayrshire Ninja to our events fundraising calendar and it certainly promises to be a good one. The event is open to everyone aged eight and over and you can sign up as a group of friends or as a team from work as part of our corporate challenge.”

The Ayrshire Hospice announced its Ayrshire Ninja earlier this month and interest in the event has been massive.

Tracey added: “We’re incredibly excited with the reaction.”
