Guests at the Ayrshire Hospice Summer Ball enjoyed a glamorous evening of fine dining and entertainment at Trump Turnberry Resort on Saturday, June 8 to mark the 30th Anniversary of the hospice, raising a fabulous total of £63,500.

The event was kindly sponsored by Wallace McDowall Ltd who celebrated their own special anniversary too of 50 years.

Assistant fundraising manager Mary Drummond said: “Our Summer Ball is always such an iconic event in our calendar and this year certainly did not disappoint – it was a fabulous evening from start to finish.”

Dean Park was a great host and the evening was jam-packed with entertainment from Maybole Pipe Band, Craig Ward from The Voice whilst Jack Pack from Britain’s Got Talent got the dance floor moving and guests danced their socks off to the talented band, Real Easy late into the evening.

The Ayrshire Hospice are extremely grateful to Wallace McDowall, Ltd, Barr Environmental, John M Paterson Ltd, Kestrel Press, Corum, Dowhill Farm, Renaldo’s, Kirstie’s Flowers, Loch Lomond Group, Events Alive, Pine Tree’s Nursery, The Cook School Scotland and David Gilbert Photography who all gave their generous support towards the event and to everyone who very kindly donated prizes to our auction and raffle. Also many thanks to the amazing committee who work tirelessly throughout the year to help plan this wonderful event – Margaret Jane Limond, Lynn Bentley, Laura Alexander and Claire Currie.
