The Marymass Flower Show is now open for entries for 2019.

This year’s show run by Irvine Horticultural Society is on Monday, August 26 with sections for vegetables, floral art, baking, jams, handicrafts, a children’s section and a novice section for first timers.

Organiser Bill Anderson said: “Bring along some baking, jams, that pot plant that sits at the window or in the garden, cut some annuals or herbaceous plants and stick them in one of our vases, pull out some carrots, in fact, we’ll take almost anything, within reason.

“All our entrants are amateurs and some come every year to show what they have made or grown throughout the year, and they are quite happy to get recognition for their efforts just by putting their items on the tables for visitors to see.

“We’ll be pleased to see you and if you would like some advice on the show or would like a schedule, please contact me. Schedules can be sent by email or a hard copy can be delivered.”

To enter the competition contact Bill Anderson on billand31@gmail.com, call 01294 277461 or you can also find Irvine Horticultural Society on Facebook.
