CUNNINGHAME WASPI group met with 1950s born women in Arran’s Ormidale Pavilion on Saturday, June 29.
Patricia Gibson MP for North Ayrshire and Arran was the guest speaker at the event.
Patricia spoke to the group and highlighted what she called the UK Government’s attack on older people.
This includes the WASPI women issue of being robbed of up to six years of their state pension, pension credit changes and the over 75’s TV licence which is to be linked to pension credit.
In North Ayrshire and Arran constituency there is £7.4million in unclaimed pension credit.
Patricia highlighted the importance of meetings and that women were not alone in this situation.
The WASPI group awaits a decision from the Judicial Review brought to court by another campaigning group.
