GUIDE Dogs Scotland are looking for North Ayrshire residents to help change a life by becoming a sighted guide as part of their My Guide programme.
My Guide is a service that sees volunteers become guides for those with sight loss so they can get out and about in their community.
The role involves providing sighted guide assistance on a regular basis and you will agree when and where you will provide the sighted guide, as part of a mutually agreed activity plan.
Those wishing to become a guide will undergo training and learn to safely guide someone with sight loss, navigating environments and building selfconfidence - all whilst increasing social interaction with those who may not otherwise wish to leave their home.
