Irvine police were out in Vineburgh last week following reports of antisocial behaviour in Green Avenue.
Officers had a walk about the area and spoke to residents about their concerns over antisocial behaviour joined by colleagues from North Ayrshire Council.
PC Mallinson, Antisocial Behaviour Liaison Officer, said: “We are aware of recent concerns relating to antisocial behaviour particularly in the area of Green Avenue, Irvine.
“We were out and about with colleagues from North Ayrshire Council Housing Services to speak with residents.
“We are committed to working with our partners and the local community to target issues of local concern – we must all work together in doing so though and I would encourage anyone with specific concerns to contact their local policing team by calling 101.
“We provided over 50 packs to households in the area today which contained information on local policing activity, antisocial behaviour, home security, CrimeStoppers and local alcohol and drug recovery services.
“We understand the negative impact crime and antisocial behaviour can have on individuals and communities and will continue to use every legitimate tactic at our disposal to ensure residents are safe and secure here.”
