Vendors have been confirmed for the first Marymass global food market.

The first Global Village Market to visit Irvine will arrive in Bridgegate for 11 hours each day from Thursday, August 15 until Sunday, August 18.

The market will play host to an incredible array of food, drink, gifts and more exotic items, with traders coming from across Europe for the event.

Traders include a French Baker and a popular Meats of the World BBQ. Other foods on offer include crepes, Chinese, Thai, toasties, cheese, jams, chocolates, German sausages, waffles, tarts, cakes and more.

Other than food, visitors can visit stalls selling a range of items including jewellery, clothing, books, gifts, coins and much more.

Opening at 10am, the market will run until 9pm each evening, giving you the chance to visit and sample the atmosphere and products beyond the usual 5.30pm closing time. The event will end at 5pm on the Sunday.

Kaleidoscope Gifts and M&Co will remain open until 8pm on Thursday, August 15, Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17.

Kaleidoscope will also open on Sunday, August 18 from 11am – 4pm. M&Co Sunday trading hours will remain the same.

Dillon Green from the Marymass Festival Committee said: “We are very excited to welcome the Global Village Market to Irvine.

“Months of hard work and planning has gone into the event, now we are looking forward to visiting the market and sampling what’s on offer.

“The extended trading hours should hopefully help pull in extra people and bring a real buzz to the town centre.”
