The next outing for the Cunninghame Ramblers will be on Saturday, August 10 and will be on Rothesay.

As they will be catching the 10am ferry from Wemyss Bay this walk has an early start time of 8.45am.

The walk will be through varied terrain and on part of the West Island Way and the views are lovely on a clear day.

The leader’s phone number is 01563 559990. On the following Tuesday, August 13 the walk will be to Ness Glen at Dalmellington.

This is a stunning gorge and woodland walk of around seven miles. The leader’s phone number is 01294 278272.

The meeting point for departing on the walk will be at the Caledonian car park off East Road adjacent to Aldi in Irvine.

Participants are advised to arrive in good time to allow for a prompt departure at 9.15am for the Ness Glen Walk and 8.45 for the Rothesay walk.

New walkers are welcome to participate in up to three walks prior to being required to take a membership of the Ramblers Association.

Membership gives an entitlement to participate in the walking programmes of all the Ramblers Association groups throughout the United Kingdom.
