The maritime museum on Irvine’s Harbourside has apologised to residents after complaints that its alarm keeps going off late at night
The Scottish Maritime Museum director says they are currently trying to resolve the issue, which they believe to be a fault exasperated by rain, after complaints of the alarm repeatedly sounding off in the early hours of the morning.
Scottish Maritime Museum Director David Mann told the Times: “We are currently investigating what we believe to be a fault in our alarm system.
“We apologise to any of our neighbours who have been inconvenienced and assure them that we are working hard to resolve this issue, which has also been exacerbated by the recent poor weather, as soon as possible.”
