The next outing for the Cunninghame Ramblers will be on Saturday, August 24.

This will be a hillwalk on Arran, the well known ascent of Goatfell, the highest peak on the island standing at 874 metres.

As this is a long day’s walking participants should meet at Ardrossan Harbour at 6.45am in order to catch the 7am ferry over to Brodick.

From there we will take the bus round to Sannox to start the walk and those who have one should remember to bring their Travelcard.

The leader’s phone no. is 07927631492. On the following Tuesday, August 27 the walk will again be on Arran and will be the Shiskine Loop.

For this walk participants should meet at Ardrossan harbour at 9.30am in time to catch the 9.45am sailing to Brodick. Once again those who have one should bring their Travelcard along. The leader’s phone no. is 01294 823041.

Membership gives an entitlement to participate in the walking programmes of all the Ramblers Association groups throughout the United Kingdom.

Within Ayrshire there are three groups located around Irvine, Kilmarnock and Ayr who organise weekly walks within the South and West of Scotland.
