A MAN has been arrested and charged following a string of alleged house 'sneak-in' thefts in Irvine this week.
The 39-year-old was also charged with an alleged bogus caller incident where a 90-year-old woman was reportedly targeted in her own home.
The man was arrested and charged and will appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court tomorrow.
A spokesman for Ayrshire Police Division said: "Police can confirm a 39-year-old Irvine man has been arrested and charged this morning with a doorstep crime incident at Frew Terrace, Irvine last week.
"He has also been charged with further sneak-in theft offences in the area.
"He will be held custody to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court tomorrow."
