Ayrshire ladies' lunch clubs donate £36,000 to hospice
TWO Ladies Lunch Clubs held in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice joined forces at a afternoon tea event to raise vital funds for the local charity.
The highly anticipated event – sold out since early in the year – saw the ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ club of North Ayrshire and ‘Ladies Lunch Club’ of South Ayrshire come together to present a total of £36,000 to the hospice from their all-year-round fundraising.
The event took place at Seamill Hydro Hotel with over 250 guests from across Ayrshire attending. Upon arrival, the ladies were treated to a glass of fizz and browse stalls. Tea was then served.
There was a cake demonstration by Cake Halliday and fashion promenade from Marks & Spencer, Kilmarnock.
An impressive £5,300 was raised.
