MUSIC is being used to give adults with learning disabilities a confidence boost.
It comes as an award-winning music project is has teamed up with the Salvation Army in Kilbirnie.
The Music Man has been working at the George Steven Centre by rehearsing songs, playing instruments and learning signs.
And they got to put their new skills on show at a special mini concert for the community.
Joanne Graham, who manages the George Steven Centre, said she was blown away by how well her service users were performing in such a short space of time.
She said: “To see the confidence of every individual improve since we launched this in January has been amazing.
“It has brought out the best in everyone who has participated and created a real buzz within the centre.
“The service users who have been in the group are now classed as ambassadors.
“They even have their own T-shirts with the Music Man logo on it and work alongside our staff and the Salvation Army’s Music and Creative Arts Specialist Bobby Weir.”
