Blacklands Primary School kids got into the spirit of their favourite characters as they celebrated Roald Dahl Day last Friday.
Pupils arrived to school with a spring in their step, jumping into a fun-filled day of Dahl inspired activities.
The youngsters wowed with their own versions of characters such as Mr Fantastic Fox, Willy Wonka, and an ironic number of teeny-tiny BFG’s.
Most pupils opted for keeping it simple with a yellow t-shirt, blazer, or hair accessory, showing support for Roald Dahl’s favourite colour.
The celebration is part of a nationwide appreciation for the beloved children’s author Roald Dahl, with schools across Ayrshire participating in the fun.
The author, who died several decades ago, has recently had a resurgence in sales, with people searching for classic editions of Matilda, The Witches and James and the Giant Peach.
