It was a grand day for Kilwinning Academy last week after the school received £1,000.
Volunteer Janet Wells presented the cheque to the school, after she secured the funds after winning the making a difference award at the Webhelp Star Awards.
This was for her work with the Innovative Schools Project, which involved the school setting up its own credit union.
Janet Wells said: “I was nominated by my Manager and the Peoples Manager for the making a difference award.
“I was nominated for working with Innovation for Schools Project working within Kilwinning Academy Access Point as a volunteer with young people from Kilwinning Academy.
