A SECTION of Bank Street - between High Street and East Road - remains closed this week to allow contractors to complete the new public realm investment in Irvine town centre.
The closure which started earlier this month will last until November 22 and is necessary to protect the safety of road users and the construction team.
North Ayrshire Council has been in contact with businesses operating in this area to coordinate an appr oach that ensures continuing pedestrian movement and limit ed lo cal access for deliveries to commercial premises.
The taxi rank will not be in use during this per iod and a temporary rank will be provided further east on Bank Street across from East Road.
Buses in this section of Bank Street are already suspended and alternative arrangements have been put in place by the bus operators St
