Member’s of Irvine Meadow’s Wednesday Club enjoyed a visit to The Circuit.
The social club for Medda’s senior supporters, which meets weekly to hear guest speakers and go on trips, took a tour of the new Quarry Road sports development, which was officially opened by Irvine star Erin Cuthbert this month.
Wednesday Club member Ross Weeks said: “They took us round and showed us everything, the changing rooms, the five-a-side park, then we went to the outdoor park and told us how it all works, it was very good.
“The Medda they train there as do the boys teams, so it’s a great facility for that. It’s been getting well used.
“We started the club three years ago and now we’ve got near enough fifty guys that come along. We’re every Wednesday after starting back three weeks ago.
"We had Archie Knox as our guest speaker, and next week we’ve got Jim Stewart coming. We’ve had Jim McCalliog who scored the third goal at Wembley in 1967.”
