Council chiefs have formally launched a new online platform, to let those who live, work, visit and invest in North Ayrshire, have their say on issues that really matter.

This will include the opportunity to take part in the Council’s 2019/20 Budget consultation which has just opened.

Your Voice Your View has already been used to collect views on topics such as the Draft Gaelic Plan and has also been used for residents to decide on Participatory Budgeting.

Current topics up for discussion are the Climate Change Emergency and the council plan as well as the budget consultation process, with sessions planned with community groups and representatives across the area.

Rhona Arthur, Interim Head of Service for Connected Communities said: “We welcome this new participation platform - it is an important tool to allow our residents to shape decision making on topics of real importance.

“As we formally launch Your Voice Your View, it will allow residents the opportunity to take part in our Budget consultation.

“It’s no secret that we face a challenging financial outlook at the same time as demand on our services is increasing, so we have to be innovative about how these are delivered in future.
