CROWDS turned out in force for Kilwinning’s annual fireworks – which surpassed organisers expectations as the best display in Ayrshire.
Revellers gathered in McGavin Park for the town’s annual highlight, which this year featured an impressive pyromusical display for the first time.
The fun kicked off with the kids rides, fire acts and other entertainment before the opening lower noise display begun.
Crowds were then treated to an awesome 18-minute themed musical display, after the earlier lower noise display for anyone who doesn’t like load bangs.
Kilwinning Community Events chair Cllr Donald Reid said: “We were very happy, everything went very well. We had a few issues with parking but that’s always an issue when you have an event that folk drive to.
“I loved the display, it surpassed my expectations. Even the wee one before was very good – people were thinking that was the main display.
“Feedback has been very positive, we’re delighted.”
