Sir Brian Donohoe recieving his knighthood
It was a very special day for Sir Brian Donohoe and wife Christine as they paid a visit to Buckingham Palace.
Irvine’s former MP attended an investiture ceremony last week where he was conferred with the title Knights Bachelor.
Sir Brian Donohoe said: “It was a special day for all my family. I’m really pleased and proud to have been honoured in this way.”
Brian was awarded a knighthood in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in recognition of his parliamentary and political work over 23 years.
He served as an MP between 1992 and 2015, latterly in the expanded Central Ayrshire constituency.
