Some litter-picking legends at Lawthorn Primary gathered up 16 sacks of rubbish last week.
The pupils were out and about the area on Wednesday, November 13 after Irvine Clean-Up Crew previously presented the school with gifts of litter pickers and hi-vis jackets.
A Lawthorn Primary spokesperson said: “Huge congratulations to our P7a class for their effort this morning clearing up litter in the local community.
“Many thanks to the parent helpers who supported us and Irvine Clean-Up Crew for the litter pickers, bags and hi-vis jackets to make this possible. Over 16 bags collected!”
Irvine Clean-Up Crew said: “We love the hard work from Lawthorn Primary School – making a real difference to the environment. Thanks to Mr Flanagan for organising.”
