A school has celebrated the opening of a new library with a special day of learning and fun.
Hayocks Primary and Early Years in Stevenston opened their library on Wednesday, December 4.
The day was a great success and highlighted the school’s use of the Pupil Equity Funding to close the poverty related attainment gap.
Acclaimed author Alan Dapre and head teacher Miss McCann opened the library which features modern learning facilities.
Mr Dapre helped the children learn in a fun and educational way.
Children’s author, singer and story teller Renita Boyle was also on hand to excite the kids’ hunger for learning.
The fantastic new facility promises lots more book-based fun to come.
