Youngsters enjoyed a fantastic Christmas party in one of Irvine’s oldest pubs.

The Turf Inn hosted a day of festive fun for the young ones on Saturday, December 21 complete with Santa’s grotto.

The youngsters gathered in the Turf from 2pm, with the big man himself appearing on horse and cart at 3.15pm ready to check the youngsters names on his naughty and nice list.

A spokesperson for the Turf Inn said: “What an amazing day and such a good turn out.

“Our kids Christmas party was a huge success today, cannot thank the staff and regulars enough for all there help today they did an amazing job.

“A huge thanks to Jackie and Wullie for the horse and cart, Jim for his amazing Santa, Margaret-Ann and Kerri for entertaining the kids they had a ball.”

The pub was also open on Christmas Day from 9am to 4pm offering free teas, coffees and mince pies to do their bit to make sure no one was alone at Christmas.
