WOULD-be Ronaldos from across North Ayrshire made their way to a top Irvine sporting facility for some festive football fun, writes Stewart McConnell.

KA Leisure held Christmas parties for three to four-year-olds, five-to-seven-year-olds and eight to 11-year-olds at the Circuit astroturf pitches in Quarry Road on Friday, December 20.

The festivities included festive football fun. With more than 70 participants involved.

Girls and boys of all ages and abilities were given a platform for their talents. One of the main attractions was inevitably a visit from the festive man of the moment, Santa Claus.

The football development team provide a number of opportunities for players of all abilities to participate and develop a love for the game. From Mini Kickers to walking football our skilled and interactive sessions that develop your skills and stay active.

As soon as your child reaches three years, he or she should be more than ready to start their sporting journey.

Classes consist of an enthusiastic coach inviting you and your child to join forces for a first foray into all things football – nothing too clever just full-on footy fun.

Mini-kickers classes are held in Greenwood Academy on Thursdays, from 5.45pm and Saturdays, from 9.15am until 10am.
