A YELLOW weather warning for strong winds have been issued for across Ayrshire by the Met Office.
The gusts could reach up to 80mph at certain points along the coast as the weatherfront moves in across the UK throughout Monday.
A narrow band of heavy rain moving east, accompanying the strongest winds, may be an additional hazard.
Commuters can expect delays across road, rail and ferry services as winds batter Ayrshire, with some journeys taking longer.
Motorists have been advsied to be careful on roads particularly for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.
Residents in coastal communites could be affected spray and or/ large waves.
The Scottsih Enivronmental Agency have issued a flood waring across Ayrshire and Arran due to higher than usual tides and large waves.
Some short term loss of power and other services may also occur.
