ARDROSSAN’S Charlie’s Bar have thanked everyone who helped them raise a record-breaking £1,750 at their recent Christmas raffle.
The Glasgow Street pub wish to thank everyone who donated prizes – raising an amazing £1,500 for James MacFarlane school and £250 for a sensory bouncy chair.
Billy, Molly and the rest of the Charlie’s Bar team said: “We would like to thank the people of Ardrossan and patrons of Charlie’s Bar who donated prizes and bought tickets for our annual Christmas raffle. Special thanks to the family of the late Gilbert Kean for their donation and to the kind donator of the Gerry Cinnamon tickets.
“The raffle was a great success and resulted in a record-breaking total of £1,750 all of which will be distributed locally, as usual. Thus enabling contributers to see first-hand how their cash is spent.
“The money will be split between James MacFarlane school (£1,500) and the purchase of a special sensory bouncy chair for Harrison (£250) grandson of one of the regulars.”
