THE Queen has congratulated a Muirkirk couple for celebrating a huge milestone in their marriage.
Provost Jim Todd and Councillor Claire Leitch visited Muirkirk couple Stuart and Betty Burns recently to congratulate them on 60 years of marriage.
The couple was presented with a basket of flowers on behalf of East Ayrshire Council.
Deputy Lieutenant Richard Vernon presented the couple with a telegram from the Queen.
